  Meet Dr. John Khoury
 

After earning his Bachelor of Science degree from Western Michigan University, Dr. John Khoury completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. Dr. Khoury opened John Khoury Dental (formerly the Oxford Smile Center) in August 2004 with the mission of serving the community where he has lived his entire life.
 

Dr. Khoury believes in professional growth and development and with advanced clinical training, experience, and education, he will provide the finest care available through modern dentistry. He is currently in an advanced curriculum at Spear Education in Scottsdale, AZ to learn the latest and most advanced techniques.
 

Dr. Khoury is dedicated to ensuring that care is delivered in the most comfortable manner possible. He believes in co-creating a plan with you that is aimed toward your personal goals for health, beauty, function, and quality of life and his clinical goals for stability, precision, and longevity.

Our goal is to make your visit comfortable from the start. Comfort starts with trust. We work to build your trust in our services and knowledge. In our experience, dental fear or phobia comes from a place of distrust. We have found patients that are very nervous to start eventually get very comfortable with dental treatment knowing that we will tell them everything they need to know and that we have their best interest at heart.

See Us in the Community

We believe strongly in giving back to the community. Dr. Khoury and staff sponsor many different activities in the Oxford/Lake Orion community. The office sponsors many different local sports programs, as well as donating needed oral hygiene supplies to different programs. Dr. Khoury is a volunteer with Donated Dental Services which provides free dental care to those in need. Dr Khoury is an active parishioner at St. Joseph’s Church in Lake Orion. The office hosts a Halloween Candy Buy Back every year. The event gets nearly 500 lbs. of candy annually. The candy is donated to the American Legion in Oxford, which then send it over to the troops. Dr Khoury believes one of the keys to leading a happy and healthy life is supporting others and giving back.

  • I could feel the effects of grinding and the loss of functionality, and it concerned me.
    Socially, I didn’t think it really affected my self-confidence. Though, now that I have completed treatment, I do find it easier to approach people. I could see the results of nightly grinding and it wasn’t going to get better without action on my part. I made the decision to set a dental goal for myself and together Dr. Khoury and I came up with a plan.   • Everyone has something they feel they want in their life, but are not sure they can attain it. Mine was a bright, big white smile. As people age, teeth continue to yellow, spaces get bigger and general health of teeth deteriorates. Top on my bucket list was a new smile, and The Oxford Smile Center helped me realized this important wish. I am so happy with my smile, and Dr. Khoury, Brenda, Andrea and the entire staff made sure it was just what I asked for. Amazingly, the color is perfect, and it doesn't look like I have "false teeth". Remnants of little imperfections in the shape of my teeth that gave me my own personality are still there - just enough so I know these teeth are still mine.
